How ZeroExpiry reminders work
- Add an item once: type it in, scan its barcode, or (Pro) snap a photo of the pack or receipt.
- Choose how early to be reminded: 1 month, 1 week, 3 days or 1 day before the expiry date.
- Get a push notification at 9 am with a link straight to the item. Pro adds WhatsApp reminders and syncs expiry dates to your phone's calendar.
- Use it, replace it or renew it before the date — and see what you saved.

AI scan: add items from a photo or a receipt
- One photo of a pack fills in the name, category, expiry date and price, plus a health rating for food.
- If the pack only prints a manufacture date and a shelf life such as “best before 9 months”, the AI works out the expiry date. With no date at all it estimates a typical shelf life — never for medicines.
- Photograph a grocery or pharmacy receipt to add up to 50 items in one go.
- Every field is a suggestion: nothing is saved until you review and confirm it.

ZeroExpiry's AI turns an expiry alert into an action — quick recipe ideas to use up vegetables, fruits and snacks, general non-prescriptive guidance and safe-disposal steps for medicines and cosmetics, and reduce-waste or compost tips for items already past their date. AI can make mistakes, so every suggestion reminds you to double-check before acting.

Free covers up to 5 active products, the barcode scanner, push reminders, the reminders calendar, the shopping list, savings emails, monthly PDF reports and joining a family.
Pro removes the product limit and adds AI product scanning, AI receipt scanning, WhatsApp reminders, calendar sync, creating a family (you plus 2 others) and up to 3 signed-in devices. Pro costs ₹149 a month or ₹1,609 a year in India, and US$4.99 a month or US$53.90 a year elsewhere, billed by the App Store or Google Play. Eligible new subscribers get a 1-month free trial.

How does family sharing work?
A Pro subscriber creates a family and invites up to 2 people by email — joining is free. Everyone shares the pantry and shopping list in real time, can assign shopping items to each other and leave comments on products, and items marked private stay private. Sharing depends on the owner's Pro subscription.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — eligible new subscribers get a 1-month free trial of Pro on the App Store and Google Play. You won't be charged if you cancel before the trial ends.
Can I cancel Pro anytime?
Yes. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (Profile → Subscription in the app takes you there). Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge — Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel the subscription.
Can I get a refund?
Pro is billed by Apple or Google, so refunds are decided by the store under its own policy — request one from Apple's Report a Problem page or Google Play's refund page. Cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the period you've already paid for. If you're stuck, email support@zeroexpiry.com and we'll help.
I bought Pro on iPhone. Does it work on my Android phone too?
Yes. Pro is tied to your ZeroExpiry account, not the phone, so it works on any device you sign in on. Billing, plan changes and cancellation are handled by the store you bought it from — the app tells you which one.
Is my data safe?
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we never sell it. AI scans are sent only the photo, never your name or email. See our Privacy Policy for the details.
How do I delete my account?
From Profile in the app. Your account is deactivated immediately and your data is erased within 7 days. Changed your mind? Sign in again within those 7 days and it's restored.
